Henry Asante Twum, the Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), is optimistic about the resurgence of the Black Stars on the international stage.
Following the dismissal of Chris Hughton after the team's disappointing performance at the Africa Cup of Nations, Otto Addo took charge of the national team. However, the team has struggled under his leadership, recording just one victory in their last ten matches and facing early exits in their recent major tournaments.
Despite these setbacks, Twum believes that the Black Stars will soon regain their competitive edge. He acknowledges the challenges but urges patience and confidence in the new coaching setup.
Twum emphasized the need for calmness and support as the team works diligently to restore Ghana's footballing prestige. He expressed confidence that with time and concerted efforts, the Black Stars will reclaim their position among Africa's elite footballing nations.
“The Black Stars will be well-positioned to compete very soon. Let’s all remain calm as the new team works assiduously to get us back to where we belong,” he told Akoma FM.
