The Roten Bullen boss has urged his side to keep hold of their highly-rated teenage sensation amid serious interest from the English top-flight ahead of the upcoming transfer window

RB Leipzip chief Oliver Mintzlaff has said that if he were sporting director Sebastian Schuppan, he wouldn't entertain offers from potential suitors over the sale of lvorian teenager Yan Diomande in the summer.

Given his red-hot form so far this term, the DME Academy product has emerged as a hot commodity among Europe's leading elite division clubs, with French titans PSG, Premier League superpowers duo Manchester Utd and Livepool, and Bundesliga heavyweights Bayern Munich - all currently on his heels for the forthcoming transfer window.

Reacting to the speculation linking their prized jewel to the aforementioned interested clubs, the German football administrator with the Red Bull Arena has said the club should keep the enterprising youngster beyond the upcoming summer regardless of any audacious bid set to be tabled for his services next season.

He told Sky: ''I can say: If I were sporting director, I wouldn't sell this young player, who hasn't even completed a full season with us. No matter what price is being asked. I believe he's a player who can still develop further, because he's still very young. And he can certainly become more expensive."

He continued; ''Of course, there are other clubs where players also want to take the next step – FC Bayern is one of them, but also clubs from England and Spain. But we have to expect that a player, even if he delivers outstanding performances here, doesn't leave us again after just one year. Therefore, I can only recommend to the management that they keep this player with us for the coming season. And then we'll have to see how he develops.

''We want to play in the Champions League. And that's naturally an argument for such a young player, to then deliver what he's shown in a second season and potentially develop further – also at an international level. So we have many good arguments. And the best argument is a long-term contract (until 2030 without a release clause, ed.) . Therefore, I'm completely relaxed about the whole matter.”

With his existing running contract set to expire on June 30, 2030, those that have lined up for his signature must be prepared to splash a fee of €100 million on his head if they are to land him for the 2026-27 season.

Diomande, who has been on fire this season, has racked up 13 goals and assisted 9 in 33 appearances for RB Leipziq across all contests in this current 2025-26 campaign.

He is currently boasting of 9 caps with the lvory Coast national football team on the international stage, with 3 goals to his name in his international football career so far.
