Atalanta midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana has officially joined the Black Stars camp in London ahead of Ghana's third-place playoff against Trinidad & Tobago, following a brief delay caused by visa complications.

The 22-year-old was initially expected to report to camp alongside his teammates earlier this week but was held back in Italy due to administrative issues relating to travel clearance.

However, the matter has now been resolved, allowing Sulemana to link up with the squad on Thursday evening in time for final preparations.

Sulemana's call-up comes after a strong finish to the season with Atalanta in the Italian Serie A, where he impressed and scored two goals in limited appearances with his energy, ball progression, and tactical discipline.

The Sunyani born is seen as a valuable asset in the Black Stars’ rebuilding process under head coach Otto Addo, who is focusing on injecting youth and dynamism into Ghana’s midfield options.

The Black Stars are in London taking part in the Unity Cup as part of preparations for upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and international friendlies. Sulemana’s arrival boosts Ghana’s midfield depth ahead of the final fixture of the tournament on Saturday, May 31, where coach' Otto Addo is expected to test several fresh legs against the twin-island Republic of Trinidad and Tobago's Soca Warriors.
