National Circles Council Chairman, Christopher Damenya, says Asante Kotoko can compete with any team in Africa if supporters contributes to the club.

Asante Kotoko are the Ghana Premier League champions with sixty-seven points and will represent Ghana in the CAF champions league.

The Porcupine Warriors have launched a supporters registration initiative dubbed Fabucensus, but the turnout has been below expectations.

Asante Kotoko have been reported to have almost 8million supporters, but only 16,000 people have registered officially with the club as revealed by the Chief Executive Officer of the Club, Nana Yaw Amponsah.

Christopher Damenya says Asante Kotoko can buy players for $500,000 and compete with any club in Africa if supporters contribute to the club.

"If all of us(Asante Kotoko supporters) subscribe and atleast we get two million people and every month Kotoko gets two million cedis, we can compete with Al-Ahly, we can compete with any club in Africa because if they can buy a player for $500,000 we can also buy a player for $500,00p," he said.

"We can also pay a player $10,000 it's all because Al-Ahly supporters every year they pay $1million, $2million to the club," he continue.
