GFA President Kurt E.S. Okraku has delivered a strong message to players suddenly showing interest in the Black Stars after Ghana booked their place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Speaking to 3Sports, Okraku made it clear that only players who have shown true loyalty to Ghana will be allowed anywhere near the squad.

“Players who have not shown enough commitment to the Ghanaian flag will not be part of us,” he stressed. “I want players who display high levels of dedication, passion, and respect for Ghana.”

Okraku did not mince words when referring to players who previously ignored call-ups.

“If we have approached you before and you turned us down, count yourself out,” he added. “As a leader, the responsibility lies with me. I am accountable for Ghana.”

The Black Stars sealed their spot at the World Cup with a 1-0 win over Comoros in Accra, sparking a new wave of interest from foreign-born players. But Okraku insists the door is not open to everyone.
