The Black Stars of Ghana will battle it out with the Lone Stars of Liberia in a friendly encounter this afternoon at the Ohene Gyan Stadium.

This will be Ghana's last game to wrap up the first international window after edging Central African Republic 2-1 last Thursday in Kumasi to win Group E and also finally book their spot in Ivory Coast for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The team quickly moved to the capital, Accra, after the first game and have already engaged in some training sessions as part of preparations towards the game coming up.

Coach Chris Hughton is expected to use this game as an avenue to access some players in the squad who haven't had enough playing time to showcase what they have also got as he looks to establish a formidable side for the team going forward.

On the other hand, the Lone Stars arrived via Air Maroc on the early hours of Monday with 35 members, comprising of players, technical team members and other officials.

The team headed straight to their hotel after the arrival and are trained at the match venue later today as part of their plans towards the high-profile friendly that awaits them.

Ghana will also use this game as a test for their two tough friendlies coming up next month against Mexico and USA, and also the 2026 Word Cup which will commence before the end of the year.

The game is scheduled for 16:00GMT (4:00pm) and will be spearheaded by Togolese center-man Attiogbe Komlan Attisso.
