Black Queens head coach, Nora Häuptle feels excited after grinding first a win in her first game since taking over the job and added they still have to put in extra efforts to reach the targeted level.
The Ghana senior women national team humbled their Beninese counterparts by 0-3 over the weekend in an international friendly in Cotonou, having stayed out of action for sometime now.
Spanish-based forward Princella Adubea opened the scoring account, Princess Owusu doubled the lead before Evelyn Badu sealed the win subsequently with all goals recorded in the half time.
Reacting to the win, the enterprising Swiss gaffer says it's always great to begin with a win and described it as a special one but added they still have lots of works to do. He said;
"It’s always special to play a first game for me and also for the players in this group together. It has been a longtime since all those international scheme came in, so first all, it’s special for me and it’s always good to start with a victory but we also know we still have some work to do."
The two time AWCON runners up are using these games to get themselves well prepared and poised for the 2023 WAFU Zone B Championship which will also serve as qualifiers for the 2024 Nation's Cup.
