**Emmanuel Antwi Delighted with First-Ever Black Stars Call-Up for AFCON Qualifiers**

Asante Kotoko midfielder Emmanuel Antwi has expressed his excitement after receiving his first-ever call-up to the senior Ghana national team for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola and Niger.

The 24-year-old took to social media to share his joy, describing the call-up as a "proud moment" in his career.

"I have been waiting for this opportunity for a very long time and it's a dream come true and it shows I made the right decision by joining Asante Kotoko," he told the club's media.

Antwi's inclusion is well-deserved, following a string of standout performances for Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League this season. He has played every match so far, scoring once and playing a key role in the Porcupine Warriors' push for the league title.

His selection is part of Black Stars coach Otto Addo's plan to introduce fresh talent ahead of the crucial qualifiers. Antwi will join fellow local-based players Razak Simpson and Isaac Afful in the squad.

Antwi’s rise is particularly noteworthy as he joined Kotoko in July after a challenging season with Great Olympics, where he experienced relegation. His journey from a relegated club to the senior national team highlights his resilience and development, making this call-up a significant milestone in his career.

Ghana will face Angola on November 15 in Luanda before hosting Niger in Accra three days later.
