Black Stars forward Brandon Thomas-Asante has pledged his commitment and determination to ensure success for Ghana as they prepare for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
The Coventry City striker is part of the squad for the crucial matches against Angola and Niger.
Thomas-Asante, who made his debut for Ghana in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against the Central African Republic in June, joined his teammates for training at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday. Speaking to the media after the session, he emphasized his eagerness to make a positive impact on the pitch.
"I know on the pitch, I want us to be victorious, and when I come on, it's more of an opportunity to make a difference," Thomas-Asante said. "I’ve got that in my heart that I want us to be successful as a nation. I’ve seen what we’ve done in the past, and we want to achieve big things like that and more. So, I’m ready to do my bit to contribute."
The Black Stars are set to continue their preparations at the Baba Yara Stadium later today, with their final training session scheduled for Wednesday. The match against Angola will kick off at 16:00 GMT on Thursday.
Following the Angola match, the team will travel to Berkane, Morocco, for their second Group F game against Niger on Monday, September 9.
