The Japan Football Association have announced an international friendly against the Black Queens of Ghana in July for their senior women national team.
The Black Queens have been out of action for almost three months now and were last seen in action in February against the Copper Queens of Zambia in the Olympics qualifiers.
However, the team previously, had ended their five-year hoodoo after beating Namibia in the final qualifying round to qualify for the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations which will be held in Morocco.
Following their recent impressive performance under the tutelage of head coach Nora Hauptle, the Japan FA have confirmed the Nadeshiko Japan will play the Black Queens in a friendly to test their strength ahead of the upcoming Olympic Games.
The game is slated for July 13, at the Kanazawa Go-Go Curry Stadium in Ishikawa.
