Former Ghanaian international, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has heaped praises on Jordan Ayew and the entire Black Stars squad for their impressive display against Chad and Madagascar and he strongly believes qualification is sealed.

The Black Stars despite missing out on the 2025 AFCON, have given a very good account of themselves in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and are currently on top of Group I with a five-point lead after six matches.

Ghana destroyed Chad by an emphatic 5-0 last Friday in Accra in round 5, before subsequently humbling secocd-place Madagascar by 3-0 last night in Al Hoceima, Morocco, to brighten their qualification chances.

Speaking on Sports Station on TV3 last night, the former Udinese starman is very happy for the team's performance and Jordan Ayew's leadership as he believes our long-standing captaincy issue has been resolved.

He furthered on by stating with so much optimism that Ghana will qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

"He is very calm but very calm. He has strong mentality and when you play with him, you will know the king of guy he is. Now the issue of captaincy has also been sorted and you have the likes of Stephen Appiah and Asamoah Gyan there. Straight away we are going to America, the job is done."

Ghana's next game in the World Cup qualifiers is a visit to Chad in match-day 7 on September 1, 2025.
