Coach Otto Addo will miss the services of several key players ahead of the Black Stars’ international friendly matches against Asian giants Japan and South Korea in this November international window.

With the game set to be played very soon, the Ghana FA are yet to make the squad official even though some players have been confirmed to have received invites.

However, key figures like captain Jordan Ayew, Thomas Partey, Kudus Mohammed, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku and bulky defender Alexander Djiku have all withdrawn from the squad with injuries.

In their absence, players like Prince Osei Owusu of CF Montreal and Viktoria Plzen forward Prince Kwabena Adu have all been invited so as Union Berlin defender Derrick Kohn.

While Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare gets his fifth consecutive call-up, Medeama SC’s Prince Owusu gets the nod again but this time with his teammate Kelvin Nkrumah.

The Black Stars will face Japan in the Kirin Challenge Cup on Friday, November 14, before they take on South Korea in four days time - November 18, 2025.
