Aziz Issah opened the scoring account for the champions on the 19th minute mark coupled with a solo finish from Sadiq Alhassan in the second half to wrap up the win.
Dreams FC are now the winners of the prestigious FA Cup for the first time in their history- and also doubles as their first major silverware.
In an interview with StarTimes after the game, the experience tactician heaped praises on his players for consistent high level performances and concluded by praising his Lord for making this happen.
"There’s no achievement without hard work. It was so difficult but we were focused most especially when we found ourselves at the bottom of the league. So, it made the work so tedious for me but I tried to separate it. I tried to concentrate on the league. After placing 6th which is a record for the club, we now come back to focus on the champion and today I thank God we have been able to win", he said
They will now play in the continent's second biggest club competition while league conquerors Medeama SC also compete in the CAF Champions League next season.
The team will now be given a short break and will hope to resume in time to prepare for the task ahead.
