Black Galaxies head coach Kassim Ocansey Mingle has reacted to his side’s defeat to South Africa - whom he described as a tougher opposition and has picked lots of positives from the game.

The Bafana Bafanas wrapped their preparations for the 2025 AFCON with a narrow 1-0 win over Ghana’s home-based national team in friendly earlier today at the Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto.

The game was a very open one with the game seeing less goals despite both teams creating numerous goal-scoring chances but failed to find the net.

However, the only goal that made the difference came in the 58th minute courtesy Orlando Pirates midfielder Sipho Mbule who stole from the center-half and made a little run before hitting beyond goalkeeper Lawrence Osei.

In a post-match interview, the ex- Bechem United and Nations FC coach says they had a very difficult game but feels it will help his team very well going forward as they look to improve before the start of the CHAN qualifiers

"Because the league is ongoing, we didn’t have much time to prepare, but the work was intensive. This game was an eye-opener, and I believe we are building a strong CHAN team. The players performed very well against a tough opponent, and we have a bright future ahead," Ocansey said as quoted by ghanafa.org.

The team are expected back in the country bt the close of tomorrow while South Africa will also depart to Morocco for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations
