Black Queens head coach, Kim Lars Björkegren has congratulated Senegal for their win last night and admitted it was really a very close game unlike the first half.

The Teranga Lioness after losing the first game couple of days ago redeemed themselves with a similar 1-0 win over Ghana last night in what was a very tough clash at the Stade Lat-Dior in Thiés.

The Queens have now wrapped up their short training tour after this game and will be returning to the country as soon as possible.

This is part of their intensive preparations towards the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations and coach Kim Lars Björkegren has acknowledged the competition giving praises to Senegal for a deserved win after the game.

“We changed half of the team between those two games. Of course, many players hadn’t played together before, so of course when you put almost a new starting eleven together, that can be a bit difficult because football is about natural relations.

“We came in to play. In the end, it was a close game, not so many chances for either team. Normally it’s a 0-0 game, but they scored and there is nothing I can do about it, so it’s just congratulations to Senegal,” Black Queens coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren said in his post-match interview.

The Black Queens are expected back in the country very soon and haven't announced any friendly game yet.
