Chairman of the FA Cup Committee, Wilson Arthur, has tipped next month’s MTN FA Cup final to be a thrilling and tightly contested affair as Asante Kotoko prepare to take on Division One surprise package Golden Kick FC.

Golden Kick booked their place in the final with a stunning 3-1 victory over Attram De Visser on Saturday at the TNA Stadium in Tarkwa. Asante Kotoko joined them a day later, edging Berekum Chelsea 1-0 thanks to a late winner at the same venue.

The final is scheduled for Saturday, June 15, 2025, at the University of Ghana Stadium in Accra, with the winner set to represent Ghana in the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup.

Speaking in an interview with Asempa FM, Wilson Arthur expressed confidence in the quality of the upcoming final.

“We are anticipating a tough and exciting FA Cup final,” he said. “Golden Kick did very well against Attram De Visser. Honestly, I expected more from Attram, but they had some injury concerns. They felt ready to play, but Golden Kick were the better side on the day.”

Arthur also praised Asante Kotoko for their hard-fought win and highlighted the intriguing tactical narrative that could unfold in the final.

“Kotoko deserve to be in the final. And it’s interesting that Coach Karim Zito, who now manages Kotoko, was the one who qualified Golden Kick to the Division One League. He knows the club well, and the players know him too—so expect a very good game.”

With high stakes and contrasting stories on both sides, the stage is set for an enthralling MTN FA Cup final.
