Legon Cities shot-stopper, Winfred Selorm Komla Honu was adjudged the Best Goalkeeper in the just-ended 2023 Nsenkyire Cup- which was conquered by Berekum Chelsea.
The enterprising goalkeeper was named man of the match in every game he featured in, in the all-play-all tournament — propelling him for a spot for the overall best player of the tournament.
The Nsenkyire Cup is an annual preseason tournament organized by Premier League side, FC Samatex 1996, held in Samreboi.
In an interview with Kickgh.com, Honu expressed gratitude to his teammates and the entire coaching staff for helping him regain his form after long-term injury and also declared readiness for the forthcoming season.
“Being adjudged the best goalkeeper of the tournament is a great thing to me because this is a pre-season tournament and this achievement will boost my confidence going into the up coming season” - Honu stated.
The Royals are still in serious preparations hoping to get themselves well prepared and gelled for the 2023/24 football season.
