The head coach of the Ghana national team, Coach Chris Hughton, has called upon his players to deliver their best performance in their upcoming match against the Central African Republic.
The Black Stars are set to face their Group E counterparts this week in the final qualifying game for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
During an interview with Metro Sports on Tuesday, Coach Chris Hughton expressed the challenge of facing the Central African Republic, acknowledging the difficulty of the task ahead.
He emphasized the need for the Black Stars to perform at their highest level to secure a victory against their formidable opponent, saying, “We don’t know what to expect apart from a hard game. It’s going to be a tough game. This is a big competition with some good teams in it but we would have to make sure we compete well enough to win the game,” Coach Chris Hughton said.
Ghana is set to host the Central African Republic on Thursday, September 7, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, with the kick-off scheduled for 4 p.m.
