Former Black Stars midfielder, Yussif Alhassan Chibsah has urged all Ghanaians to put the disappointment from their last game behind and support the team ahead of the crunchy Mali clash this evening.

The four-time African champions played out a pulsating 1-1 draw against Chad in their last game and failed to open a five-point lead at the summit of Group I in the ongoing FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

This has really triggered the Ghanaian football loving fans who have questioned the commitment of the players and are currently demanding nothing but an improved performance tonight.

In an interview with Accra-based Asempa FM, the current PFAG’s head of player relations wants to see the Black Stars make good use of their chances as he feels that will earn them the victory they are looking for.

"The Black Stars have the whole country’s destiny in their pocket today and can’t afford to disappoint Ghanaians," he told Asempa FM.

"We have the boys; now it’s up to our strikers to take their chances against Mali today," he added.

"Ghanaians should forget the pain of the Chad game and rally behind the Black Stars today."

Yussif Chibsah was part of the Black Stars legends that visited the team last night at the Alisa Hotel to motivate and inspire the guys ahead of the big game coming up.

The game against Mali is slated for 19:00GMT (7:00pm) at the Ohene Gyan Stadium.
