Former Asante Kotoko striker, Opoku Nti has advised the clubs supporters to lower their expectations ahead of the CAF Champions League campaign.
Asante Kotoko will face Rail Club du Kadiogo on Monday evening in the preliminary stages of the Champions League.
The encounter will be played in Benin at the General Mathieu Kerekou Stadium.
Unfortunately, club's last season top scorer Franck Mbella Etouga couldn't make the trip, but Georges Mfegue is part of the team for their first game in the Champions League.
New Ugandan striker, Steven Mukwala is expected to make his first competitive debut for Asante Kotoko.
Opoku Nti has cautioned the supporters of the Porcupine Warriors to be measured in their expectations.
"It's obvious that we assembled a new team with a new technical bench and we didn't have time for the preseason and normally the league comes before Africa but this is a time, we have to play Africa before the league," Opoku Nti told LUV FM.
"As for expectation, you need to lower it but to give your maximum support to them because you can't immediately start from number two number three, you have to start from number one.
"Everyone would expect that we win but they also need our support to push the players so that our expectation will not come short but they will come out with flying colours."
