Berekum Chelsea secured an important away win over King Faisal in the Ghana Premier League match-week 18 fixture on Sunday.
King Faisal suffered a 1-0 home loss to Berekum Chelsea in their first-ever match at the newly adopted venue — Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex at Abrankese, for the remainder of the 2022/23 season's campaign.
Berekum Chelsea started the game with an intense pressure on the home side and frustrating them with an early goal through Mezack Afriyie.
In-form Mezack Afriyie snatched the opener for Berekum Chelsea to increase goal tally to ten goals with a fine strike on the 6th minute of the game.
Berekum Chelsea kept tormenting the back line of King Faisal but thanks to brilliant saves from goalkeeper Adams Jabal.
King Faisal FC were forced to make an early substitution after Samuel Adom sustained an injury which got him replaced by Elia Kofi Junior.
Winger Stephen Amankona came close to double the score for the visitors but his strike was calmly saved by Adams Jabal on the 32nd minute.
