The Black Satellites tested their strength with a 2-1 win over Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities FC last Thursday in a preparatory friendly at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram. 

The game was really an entertaining one with both the two sides coming in with an open approach which allowed the game to flow very well right from onset till full time.

Thoughts FC striker Jerry Afriyie- who starred very well in the team's last glory in the African Games, netted all two goals whiles Frank Akoto got the consolation for the Royals.

The team afterwards, engaged in another warm up friendly which they won by 2-1 against SMAC Soccer Club, courtesy goals from Ali Umar and Yunus Musah.

Coach Desmond Offei will continue to assess his squad to deduce the final list as they continue to intensify preparations towards the upcoming WAFU competition.

The Black Satellites are looking forward to replicating what they achieved in March this year when they won gold at the African Games with a stellar performance right from day one.

The WAFU Zone B U-20 Championship will be held in Togo from October 17 to 31, 2024.
