The 2009 world champions were very delight to watch with a very good organization on the pitch and also their passing exchanges were always excellent but struggled in the face of goal having missed some numerous goal scoring opportunities that fell on their path.
The Mauves and Yellows in the second half subsequently found their rhythm and gave the youngsters a very good opposition but goalkeeper Saeed Yakubu's heroics kept the Satellites in the game.
Coach Desmond Offei and his lads will continue with preparations towards the upcoming WAFU Zone B U-20 championship and have already been drawn in Group A alongside Togo, Benin and Niger.
The Black Satellites are looking forward to replicating what they achieved in March this year when they won gold at the African Games with a stellar performance right from day one of the tourney.
The WAFU Zone B U-20 Championship will be held in Togo from October 17 to 31, 2024.
