The Black Stars of Ghana recorded a satisfied 3-1 win over Liberia in an international friendly at the Ohene Gyan Stadium.

The Black Stars started on an explosive note and nearly scored in just ten seconds from kickoff after a smooth build up from the back but Semenyo's final effort was blocked to a corner kick.

Kudus Mohammed launched in a decent delivery which met a towering header from Nicholas Opoku but was tipped off nicely by Liberia goalie Boison Winney to a wasted corner kick.

Ghana given a free kick after Ernest Nuamah was fouled recklessly by Jeremy Saygbe just at the edge of the box. Kudus Mohammed went for it and was wide for a restart.

On the 34th minute, Liberia's free kick resulted in a counter break for Ghana, and Antoine Semenyo was left all alone with the goalkeeper but couldn't make it count as his rounding poorly resulted in a goalkick.

In the second half, the Lone Stars bounced back on a good note and had their first attempt on goal from Nohan Kenneh but his effort was saved by Abdul Manaf Nurudeen.

Ghana finally snatched the lead on the 51st minute through Ernest Nuamah who put the ball through the legs of goalkeeper Boison Winney- after receiving a nice pass from substitute Nicholas Opoku.

The Black Stars doubled their lead on the 58th minute with a nice team work goal. Semenyo laid off to Nuamah, who spotted Kudus Mohammed at far post, and made no mistake by striking into the net.

Jordan Ayew scored on the 81st minute to grab Ghana's third of the day. He struck from a close range after receiving a decent pass from Jonathan Sowah.

The Lone Stars pulled one back on the 90th minute through substitute Divine Teah to make it 3-1 and that's how the game ended.
