Hearts of Oak have edged out first division side Asokwa Deportivo by 3-0 in a preseason friendly this morning at the Ejisu Forestry Park.
The giants went into the first phase of the game with a two-goal advantage thanks to strikes from inform Junior Kaaba and veteran Samuel Inkoom. Isaac Mensah topped up with the last goal in the second half to seal the victory.
Coach Samuel Boadu and his charges have engaged themselves into two warm up matches so far since arriving in Kumasi, having earlier thumped on second-tier side Future Stars by an emphatic 4-0 in the midweek.
They will face second division side Ebony FC at the same venue this afternoon before the big one against topflight side Bibiani GoldStars on Sunday at Paa Joe Park.
Hearts of Oak are looking to get themselves well prepared and gelled for their opening fixture against Aduana Stars in Dormaa and also the CAF Confederations Cup task ahead of them.
