Great Olympics coach, Yaw Preko insists that Nigeria is not better than us, as he urges Black Galaxies to qualify ahead of Nigeria.
Ghana won the 1st leg of the Championship of African Nations(CHAN) by 2:0 at the Cape Coast stadium.
Nigeria will host the Black Galaxies at the Mashood Abiola stadium tomorrow.
Ghana have missed on the last three consecutive CHAN tournaments and will hope to secure thier place in Algeria 2023.
Yaw Preko insists that the Black Galaxies shouldn't be afraid and urges Ghana to qualify ahead of the sworn-rivals Nigeria.
"[They have to] make sure they don't concede. Nigerians are not better than us in terms of football so I don't see the reason why we have to be afraid," Preko said.
"I coached in Nigeria for a season. They are not better than us. That is the time we beat them in the WAFU [tournament] in Cape Coast. We have what it takes. It's about confidence, the boys need to be confident. They managed to get two goals which is good. We go in there not just about defending but to make sure we don't concede and play as a team.
"They have a very good trainer and a good technical team so I am not scared," added.
