Asante Kotoko have been held to a pulsating goalless draw by current Ashanti Regional Division Two champions PAC Academy in a crunchy preseason friendly at the Dr. K.K Sarpong Sports Complex on Wednesday morning.

It was really a difficult and entertaining fixture and also served the fans at the venue with so much joy due to the exciting and impressive display of football from both teams.

The Porcupine Warriors of course were really on top in terms of possession and everything throughout the encounter but struggled to find the back of the net.

After netting a brace in their last game against Cornerstones, newly-signed forward Kalou Ouattara had another opportunity to increase his goal from a penalty kick but was denied in a dramatic fashion.

PAC Academy on the other hand, were really outstanding, having stayed very discipline throughout the encounter without losing concentration to earn a hard-fought draw.

It was really a top-level performance which exhibits their readiness to compete in zone two of the first division next season.

This is Kotoko's third game so far since regrouping for preseason and ain't much focused with the results but are looking forward to how their preparations will go extremely well to have themselves adequately ready and poised for the season.

Prosper Nartey's men will engage first division side Asekem FC in another high profile game at exactly 3:00pm in their second game of the day at the same grounds
