VC Warriors maintained their unbeaten streak in the second round of the 2023/24 Division One League with a pulsating away draw in Tamale.
The Wenchi-based club managed to secure a crucial away point against Tamale City in their match-week 20 encounter at the Naa Sheriga Sports Complex.
VC Warriors exercised their dominance on the host by opening the score through Mustapha Mohammed in the 36th minute of the game.
Tamale City made several attempts in the last ten minutes of the first half with the hopes of levelling the score but their efforts went futile. It ended 1-0 for VC Warriors at the break.
Tamale City, who were also unbeaten in their last four games in the league, managed to snatch a late equalizer through Isaac Yaro.
VC Warriors skipper Gideon Acheampong was voted the man of the match in the fixture which ended in a stalemate at the Naa Sheriga Sports Complex.
Since the arrival of coach Boniface Ayipa in January, VC Warriors are yet to suffer a defeat in the Division One League and have kept a 100% record.
The one-all draw leaves VC Warriors at the third place with 34 points while Tamale City leapfrog Techiman Heroes to temporary sit at the top with 35 points.
