Former Ghana Football Association Spokesperson, Ibrahim Saanie Daara has made a very wild statement which definitely will create discussions among the local football fans stating majority of the current Black Stars players are average.
He stated this definitely on the back of the recent ill performance of the team who picked up only two wins out of fourteen matches the whole of last year.
Additionally, they failed to qualify for the next Africa Cup of Nations tournament and recorded a winless qualifying campaign for the first time ever in the country's history.
With this consistent abysmal performances, it is only fair for one to criticize the quality of our current senior national team which is why Saanie Daara feels the quality has really dropped massively in the last few years.
"Apart from Kudus, Jordan Ayew and Partey, a lot of the Black Stars players are average", he said on Sporty FM
Ghana are currently in second position with nine points from four matches in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and will take on Chad and Madagascar in match-day five and six next month.
