Mukarama Abdulai has earned a recall to the Black Queens squad for Ghana’s upcoming double-header against Mauritius in the second round of the African qualifiers for the 2028 Olympic Games.

The Ünye Kadın forward returns to the national team after a two-year absence, having struggled with persistent injury problems that kept her away from international duty.

Head coach Kim Lars Björkegren has included the striker among five players returning to the squad as Ghana prepare for the crucial Olympic qualifying fixtures.

Rose Teye Baah, Diana Amoako, Helen Alormenu and Nancy Amoh are the other players recalled for the two matches against Mauritius.

The Black Queens will travel to Mauritius for the first leg on Thursday, October 8, 2026, before hosting the return fixture on Tuesday, October 13. Ghana received a bye in the first round of the qualifiers.

The former Alaves star will now hope to make the most of her return and re-establish herself in the national team as the Black Queens pursue qualification for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
