The gangling centre-back, currently with Turkish Süper Lig outfit Basaksehir FK, is downhearted following their abysmal start to the qualifying series for the next year's main football tournament in Africa which is set to be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

Nonetheless, the former FC Arouca aggressive defender is still confident the Black Stars will bounce back to winning ways by getting their qualification campaign back on track in their remaining qualifiers fixtures in Group C given their determination to book their place in the next biennial competition.

Opoku took to his social media handles to urge the fans to stick with them as they looks forward to turning things around in their subsequent matches.

He posted on X: ''A difficult couple of weeks . We will learn and turn it around . Stick with us, not over yet GP.''
