Nsoatreman FC after a 1-1 stalemate in regulation time, edged Bofoakwa Tano FC by 5-4 on penalties to emerge champions of the MTN FA Cup in an epic final at the University of Ghana Stadium.
Richard Dzikoe scored first at half time but his goal was subsequently cancelled out by Sadat Mohammed in the closing moments of the second half.
The 'Esuo Eyiri Pe Bre' lads opened the scoring account on the 21st minute courtesy Richard Dzikoe who connected into the net at a close range from Ali Alhassan's ground cross from the left.
Both teams subsequently displayed some sumptuous football especially in the last fifteen minutes of the first half but Bofo preserved their lead into the break.
In the second half, Nsoatreman FC returned on a blistering note and made their intentions of getting the leveller very clear having attacked from recess.
The 'Efiri Tete Amanaso' outfit finally had their equalizer with just ten minutes to full time through Sadat Mohammed after a huge clanger from goalkeeper who failed to handle the former's long range hit.
The game finished 1-1 in regulation time and travelled to extra time which also produced no goal.
Nsoatreman FC subsequently won 5-4 via penalty shootouts to lift the 2023/24 MTN FA Cup and will play in the CAF Confederations Cup next season.
