The 2022 Ashanti Regional Inter-Schools and Colleges Boys Soccer Competition has been moved to the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium, per reports reaching Kickgh.com
The initial venue for the competition for the past decade has been the Kumasi Sports Stadium but looks like it will move out of the region's capital this time around.
With the reason being that, the National Sports Authority have communicated to the Ghana Education Service that, the Baba Yara Stadium will be undergoing a rehabilitation very soon, with CAF inspection team expected in the country by the close of the week to inspect the venue for Kotoko's African campaign next season.
The last time the competition was staged in Obuasi was in 2007, some fifteen years ago and was eventually won by Tepa Senior High School.
However, the NSA have assured the GES that, the athletic competition will be held in Kumasi since the venue will be ready by then and even maybe the semi final and final of the soccer competition.
