Ghana has been handed a two year ban by FIFA from playing in the next two editions of the FIFA U-17 Women's African Qualifiers, including a fine of $100,000 for a supposed age cheating.

This was after a serious complain was filed against the Black Maidens by Morocco, who suspected two players, Nancy Amoh and Rasheeda Shahadu have falsified their birthdate information and believed they were above 17 years.

Morocco however qualified for the 2022 U-17 Women's World Cup after edging out Ghana on penalties, with a 2-2 on aggregate scoreline after the two legs.

The Ghana Football Association had the chance to appeal the decision by providing concrete evidence in a written response to the CAF Disciplinary Board but didn't comply which resulted into this huge sanction.

Ghana still have the opportunity to protest the decision at the CAF Appeal Board.
