Former Ghana midfielder Nii Odartey Lamptey has urged newly appointed Black Stars coach Chris Hughton to keep at least 80 to 90% of the current squad.
Lamptey believes that an unfledged replacement of the players will greatly affect the team's advancement.
The former Anderlecht and Jomo Cosmos midfielder reckons that there is a lot of quality in the current team, and that bringing in fresh legs will not bring any stern competition among the players.
“I think we should believe in the boys that played at the World Cup. They are still young so let us work on them for 2 or 3 years and they will do great things. From what I saw at the World Cup there is a lot of potential in the materials (players) that played," he said in an interview with Asempa FM.
"He (Chris Hughton) may bring in one or two players but I believe he should maintain 80 to 90 percent of them," Lamptey added.
