Ghana coach Otto Addo has handed an invitation to Asante Kotoko striker Kwame Opoku for the upcoming 2025 Unity Cup in London.
The 26-year-old is among the locally based players invited for the four-nation tournament slated to be played at Brentford's Gtech Community Stadium.
Opoku, who has had an incredible campaign with Porcupine Warriors since arriving at the club prior to the start of the second round of the 2024/25 season, has been rewarded with a call-up to the Black Stars for the international friendlies later this month.
Since rejoining Kotoko in December 2024, Opoku has scored 10 goals in all competitions and remains a key figure in the club’s title ambitions
The senior national team will participate in a four-nation tournament in the United Kingdom later this month. Ghana will lock horns with long-time rivals Nigeria in a semifinal clash at the Gtech Community Stadium in Brentford on Tuesday, May 28, with kickoff scheduled for 19:00 GMT.
The winner of that encounter will advance to the final on Saturday, May 31, to face either Jamaica or Trinidad and Tobago at 12:30 GMT.
