Ghanaian international, Osman Bukari has described his goal at the 2022 World Cup as the best and stated copying Cristiano Ronaldo's celebration really helped him and has made him very famous
The 26-year-old currently plies his trade with Major League Soccer side Austin FC and currently has a goal in three appearances in the ongoing 2025 season.
Bukari, was part of the Black Stars squad at the 2022 FIFA World Cup and scored in their opening game against Portugal and pulled off the 'siiuu' celebration right at the expense of Ronaldo in a 3-2 loss at the Stadium 974.
Speaking in an interview on KVUE News, the mercurial wideman admitted the goal gave him a beautiful moment in his career and topped up that hitting the 'Siiiuuu' celebration has made him much more popular as most people are now using that to remember him.
"What came to my mind first was, so I scored a goal? I scored a goal. If you watch the video. I was like so I scored a good. It was a nice moment in my life to get a goal at the World Cup.
"After the game, I got a lot of messages with people asking why I did the celebration. Some say it is good.
"So now in Ghana, a lot of people know me because of that celebration. If I go to Ghana and my name is mentioned, people ask who is Bukari and they get the answer he was the one who did the Ronaldo celebration."
Osman Bukari is hoping to make coach Otto Addo's squad for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar in few weeks from now.
