Legendary Ghana football icon, Malik Jabir, says that Black Stars head coach Otto Addo “lacks a bit of that fire, that passion” to handle the senior national team.
A calamitous campaign for Ghana took another turn after losing 2-0 to Sudan on Tuesday at the Martyrs February Stadium in Libya in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
However, when asked about his remarks of the Black Stars and what has stopped the team from being more competitive, Jabir, speaking to Kumasi based outlet Akoma FM called for the sacking of Otto Addo.
“Otto Addo must be fired, he has not been helpful to our squad during his tenure."
Ghana are in deep trouble as they trail second-placed Sudan by five points in Group F, and still have to visit in-form Angola, who were 2024 AFCON quarter-finalists.
