Administrative Manager of Medeama SC, Joseph Tetteh Zutah has disclosed that, making it to the knockout round is their target heading into the CAF Champions League despite admitting it won't be an easy task to accomplish.

The Mauves and Yellows after two rounds of qualifiers, managed to make it into the money zone of the continent's biggest club football competition for the first time in their history.

They have been placed in Group B alongside giants Al Ahly, Algeria's CR Belouizdad and Young Africans from Tanzania.

Over the weekend, they kicked off their campaign in Cairo against grand masters Al Ahly who humbled them by 3-0 at the Al Salam Stadium and have five matches more to spare and to also seek redemption.

In an interview on Citi TV, the ex- Medeama SC captain knows it will be a very tedious task to advance from the group but feels is very possible and added that has been their minimum target.

"The focus is to try as much as possible to qualify out of the group, we know it will not be easy task, but we hope to do that."

"Fortunately for us, we are playing two games at home against Belouizdad and Yanga SC here and if we able to win all two games, we have 6points and then we will see how we can pick results from other centers."

They will host Algerian fold CR Belouizdad in the second round of matches on Friday, December 1, at the Baba Yara Stadium.
