High-flying Paga Afeni FC continued with their outstanding form and finished the first round as winners of zone two (2) of the 2022/23 Upper East Regional second division championship and did it in style with no loss.
They wrapped up the first phase of the season with a narrow 1-0 win over Navrongo Mission Warriors over the weekend, kind courtesy Serge Amu's spectacular second half free kick.
The team is led by Bukari Salifu and Tahiru Mohammed Ibrahim Wekem- the duo that nearly secured them first division football last season but missed out painfully to Kassena Nankana FC
They lifted the ante right from the start of the campaign to finish the first round on top of zone two log with 13 points after five matches, having recorded four wins and just a draw.
The LAND OF FIRE- based outfit will hope to continue with their stellar form in the second phase of the season as they look to secure nothing but qualification to the first division championship.
