Former Black Satellites midfielder, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has pleaded with authorities to release their entitled packages for winning the Under-20 World Cup in 2009.
Ghana defied all odds to annexed the coveted U-20 World Cup against Brazil in Egypt.
Ghana won the trophy after beating Brazil 4:3 on penalties after extra time, with ten men, to ink their name in history as the first African nation to reach such as feat.
The team are yet to receive their entitlements after their promised rewards were reportedly invested in government bonds.
Winning coach, Sellas Tetteh has also confirmed that he is yet to receive his winning bonuses.
Tetteh further confirmed that atleast they are supposed to receive $4,000 as their reward.
Agyemang Badu, who scored the winning penalty, is urging authorities to redeem their packages for them.
"I know the package the government did for us when we won the Under-20 World Cup 2009 is 15 years but I'm pleading if they can do something about it to release the money to some of our colleagues and the technical team," he posted on his Facebook feed.
"We won't wait for anything to happen and come and pretend on camera. Please, hear us our. Thank you," he concluded.
