Black Stars new boss Carlos Queiroz has declared his readiness for the job during his official unveiling and has assured that Ghana is capable of beating any country if the team stick together.

The experienced Portuguese tactician was formally introduced at the Alisa Hotel, where he addressed the Ghanaian media and outlined his ambitions for the team.

“If we (Black Stars) play as a team, I have the believe we can beat any opponent in this world.”

Before meeting the press, Queiroz paid a courtesy visit to Kofi Iddie Adams, the Minister of Sports, alongside Kurt Okraku and other officials of the Ghana Football Association.

The new coach has been given a local name by the GFA—Osabarima Carlos Kwesi Queiroz—as part of efforts to connect him with the Ghanaian football culture, although it remains unofficial.

Queiroz is expected to begin work immediately as he prepares the Black Stars for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where Ghana have been drawn in Group L alongside England, Croatia and Panama.

He will take charge of upcoming international friendlies against Mexico national team next month and Wales national team in June as he begins his tenure.
