Black Stars new coach Carlos Queiroz is set to be unveiled today at the Alisa Hotel where the local media will have the opportunity to ask him questions as he prepares to take up his new role.

Upon his arrival, the Portuguese gaffer was welcomed by a large number of supporters at the Kotoka International Airport ahead of today’s launch.

The 73-year-old was appointed to replace Otto Addo following Ghana’s defeats to Austria and Germany during the March international window. His arrival marks a key step in the country’s preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Queiroz is expected to begin work immediately alongside his backroom staff, with reports indicating that he is arriving with about five technical team members. Some members of the existing setup are likely to make way as the new coach reshapes the team’s structure.

Among those expected to join him are trusted assistant Roger De Sa, goalkeepers’ coach Daniel Gaspar and opposition scout Pierre Bazie, all of whom are set to play key roles in the technical team.

As part of official protocol, the Ghana Football Association is also expected to present Queiroz to Kofi Adams, the Minister of Sports, following his unveiling.

Ghana have been drawn in Group L of the 2026 FIFA World Cup alongside England, Croatia and Panama.
