The Black Stars of Ghana have commenced their preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers with an initial training session in Accra on Monday.

The team is gearing up for pivotal matches against Angola and Niger this month. The senior national team assembled in Accra on September 2 to kick off their camp, focusing on strategy refinement and team cohesion.

During Monday’s evening session, 10 players were present, reflecting their readiness and commitment to the upcoming fixtures.

The attendees included Thomas Partey, Tariq Lamptey, Joseph Wollacott, Ibrahim Osman, Jonas Adjetey, Antoine Semenyo, Brandon Thomas-Asante, Frederick Asare, Ebenezer Annan, and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku.

 

The Black Stars’ qualification match against Angola is scheduled for Thursday, September 5, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. They will then travel to face Niger in their second group game of the qualifiers.
