Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum is set to receive a compensation package totaling $36,000 following his departure from Asante Kotoko, according to an exclusive report by Nhyira FM.

The payment includes five months of outstanding salary arrears amounting to $20,000, in addition to a $16,000 severance package. This financial settlement comes after Ogum’s recent dismissal as head coach of the Porcupine Warriors due to a series of underwhelming performances that saw the club struggle to maintain its title challenge in the Ghana Premier League.

Ogum, who returned for a second stint with Kotoko in 2023, was unable to replicate the success of his first tenure, prompting the club’s management to make a change in the technical direction. His exit paved the way for Abdul Karim Zito to take over as interim coach, with a mandate to revive the team’s fortunes as the season nears its conclusion.

Asante Kotoko currently sit fourth on the league table with six matches left to close the gap on the top spot and remain in contention for the MTN FA Cup.
