Black Stars winger, Ransford Yeboah Königsdörffer has availed himself for the Black Meteors ahead of the 2023 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations.
The 21 year old is a German born of Ghanaian decent and has already featured for his country of birth at youth level but subsequently changed his mind to naturalize for the native of his father, Ghana.
He was handed his first call up in September last year and made his debut against Nicaragua in a friendly but unfortunately missed out in the 2022 World Cup squad.
Just recently, seven goals for Hamburger SV in the Bundesliga II so far this season earned him another call up for the 2023 AFCON qualifiers against Angola in a double header but wasn't given the opportunity in all those two matches.
Speaking to Ghanaweb, the mercurial wideman couldn't rule out a chance to play for the Ghana U-23 side should he be handed an invite.
"Maybe if they call me. I don’t know when the tournament is, but we never know."
The Black Meteors just last Tuesday defeated Algeria (2-1 on aggregate) to book a place for the Africa U-23 Championship to be staged in June this year in Morocco.
The competition will serve as qualification for the 2024 Olympics Games in Paris.
