Tom Saintfiet- who just resigned from his post as head coach of Gambia, has reportedly applied for Ghana's vacant coaching job.

The Black Stars are currently without a coach following the sacking of Chris Hughton after what is described as a disastrous AFCON campaign in Cote D'Ivoire.

The Ghana FA since have named a committee to conduct a research based on certain requirements to get a befitting coach for the senior men national team.

Lots of coaches have also expressed strong interest in the job and already have their applications sent hoping to be considered.

The latest to join the list is Belgian gaffer Tom Saintfiet who has been on the African terrain since 2008 and has handled lots of countries including Malawi, Namibia, Ethiopia, Togo, Zimbabwe, and most recently, the Gambia.

Also, he's handled clubs like Free State Stars in South Africa and Tanzanian giants Young Africans.

The 50-year-old last job was with Gambia where he joined in 2018 and made history by qualifying the Scorpions to their first ever AFCON in 2021 and took them to the quarter final.

He resigned after failing to progress them from the group stage.
