The latest figure to apply for the Black Stars vacant coaching role is George Boateng- who has served as the team's assistant gaffer for over two years now.
He's been with the four-time African champions in the last two years and has served as assistant to both Otto Addo and Chris Hughton.
Ghana is currently without a coach following the sacking of Chris Hughton after a disastrous campaign at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations which is currently ongoing in Cote D'Ivoire.
The Ghana FA since, have been on the lookout for his successor with some foreign coaches expressing strong interest and reports say some have already applied for the job.
The 48-year-old upon expressing interest in the job will now joined the list of reportedly other 60 coaches who have also expressed strong interest including two locals; Michael Osei and Maxwell Konadu
George Boateng has been into coaching for almost a decade now having handled both Aston Villa U18 and U23- his last job before taking up the Ghana job.
Also, he's worked with Kelantan and another English side Blackburn Rovers at youth level.
