FC Samartex 1996 President, Mr. Richard Nsenkyire has confirmed that the club's female team will be participating in the Women's Division One League of the Western Region Football Association.
As part of the Club Licensing requirements, FC Samartex has established a women's football team scheduled to competing in the second-tier competition in the Western Region.
FC Samartex Ladies has been engaging in high-profile friendlies to keep their momentum for their debut campaign in the Western Region Women's Division One League.
Mr. Nsenkyire affirmed the club's decision to establish the female team and also highlighted the plans to be rolled out by the top hierarchy of the club for Women Football in Samreboi and its environs.
“We've invested in critical areas to make sure the club's ambition and greatness can be sustained. As you may be aware, we have invested in infrastructures — the Nsenkyire Sports Arena, the academy house which has a 36-room hostel, a TV room, dinning hall, modern gym and mini pitch among others. We have developed two training pitches. We've built hostels for the ladies team and the youth team.” Mr. Nsenkyire said.
“We have invested in modern technology to help us catch up with the modern trends in the industry.”
