The Communications Director of Real Tamale United (RTU), Mohammed Kayaba, has stated that the club will carefully examine the recent verdict from the Ghana FA Disciplinary Committee before responding.
The embattled club was fined GH₵100,000 by the domestic football governing body commitee for fielding unregistered players and bringing the game into disrepute during their Match-day 28 game against Dreams FC.
Speaking to Peace FM, Kayaba said, "Management is yet to sit, analyze it, go through it properly, dig deeper into that, and then we will respond to that. We just received it yesterday and we are having other issues to address, so we are hoping to meet within the week and go through it before we respond to the general public."
The Disciplinary Committee also handed a one-year ban from all football-related activities to five RTU officials; Assistant coach Iddi Manza, Team Doctor Abdul Somed, Team Manager Alhaji Tanko Jetuma, Operations Manager, GK Trainer Sylvester Yaw Apanka and Kayaba Abdul Gafaru - who's the club's Equipment Officer and others, effective, immediately.
RTU faces the aforementioned penalties for violating Section 34(6)(d) of the GFA Premier League Regulations.
